We would like to confirm the following business days for the year-end holidays.

Business will close for 2023 at 17:00, December 22 (Fri).
Business will open for 2024 at 10:00, January 5 (Thu).

Important information related to orders and shipping of teaching materials:

• Orders placed by 14:00, December 22 (Fri) will be shipped by the end of the year.

• Orders will be closed from December 23 (Sat) to January 4 (Thu).

• Normal shipping resumes from January 5 (Fri).

At present, our packages are being collected earlier than usual (the deadline for same-day shipping is 14:00). Please place orders with this in mind to help us fulfill your order in time. If you would like to place an order within December but have the shipping scheduled for January, please let us know.

Every January, we hold a Total Management Seminar as part of preparations for the new school year. The seminar covers management, administration, and how to communicate effectively with guardians, students, and co-workers. This year, the seminar will be split across four online sessions.

As well as new staff, previous attendees who wish to brush up are also welcome. While we understand that making time for four sessions may be difficult, we would like first-time attendees to attend all of them.

Session 1: Understanding the PLS System — January 25 (Thu) 13:00-14:45

Session 2: The Importance of Homework — February 1 (Thu) 13:00-14:45

Session 3: Communicating with Guardians — February 8 (Thu) 13:00-14:45

Session 4: Communicating with Co-workers and Building Trust — February 15 (Thu) 13:00-14:45

Cost:

• All four sessions: ¥15,000 (excl. tax), including a 1-hour follow-up/Q&A

• Individual sessions (for prior attendees): ¥3,800 per session (excl. tax)

All sessions will be led by Midori Daikuhara and Tomoko Saeki, and held in Japanese (except for some role play sections).

Seminars 1 and 2 will focus as much as possible on hands-on practice, simulating classroom scenarios, and covering all the essentials of the PLS System®. Seminar 3 will be held in Tokyo in spring and Osaka in autumn, covering additional and advanced-level content.

*Seminars will be held with five or more attendees.

We are planning to hold the 20th Annual PLS Group Sister School Convention in June, and the 19th Annual PLS Group Forum in November. Further details of these events, including final dates, will be shared at a later date.
