Ray Ormandy is Back in Japan
After over four years away, Ray Ormandy returned to Japan last month (surprising everyone at the Hamadayama school)! Mr. Ormandy will be at Seminar 3 (Tokyo) and the Sister School Convention (Osaka) in June. He’s looking forward to seeing everyone.
2024 PLS Group Sister School Convention Updates
As previously announced, this year’s convention will be hosted by Time English School, which opened 43 years ago and became a PLS sister school 38 years ago. Time has many students who have been with the school for more than ten years, and has very few who quit for entrance exams. We’ve asked them to share insights on why students stay for such a long time, what kind of skills they develop, and how Time helps them to develop those skills.
In the afternoon, we will have group work to share ideas and discuss a variety of topics.

Date: Sunday, June 23rd
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (reception from 10:00 a.m.)
Venue: Grand Front Osaka (Knowledge Capital Conference Room Tower B, 10F, rooms B01 and B02)
Fee: ¥13,000+tax per person (lunch, party included)
Team discount: ¥1,000 off per person for groups of three or more attendees from the same school
Owners’ meeting
Sunday, June 23rd from 7:00 p.m. at Hotel Granvia Osaka (additional fee TBA)
School visit
A tour of Time English School Kobe will be held on Monday, June 24th from 11:00-12:00 for those who wish to attend.
Accommodation
We have made tentative reservations for attendees at hotels near the venue for one-night stays on June 23rd and two-night stays on the 22nd and 23rd.
