Dear Sister School members,

We expect that you’re busy with the new school year, but hope you’re doing well. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the upcoming Teacher Training Seminars 2 and 3.

While we had hoped to be able to resume in-person training this spring, the pandemic is still making it difficult to make definite plans in advance. As such, we have decided to continue online training seminars to avoid leaving announcements to the last minute. We hope that this will reduce the impact on your scheduling.

We introduced a new format for Seminar 1 to allow attendees to do more hands-on practice and, thanks to positive feedback from both practicing attendees and observers, will continue with the new format for Seminars 2 and 3.

Date and time

Seminar 2: Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25 (Osaka seminar dates in the annual schedule)

Seminar 3: Sunday, May 22 and Monday, May 23 (Tokyo seminar dates in the annual schedule)

Time: (Sun.) 10:00-17:00 / (Mon.) 9:00-16:00

The seminars will be held on Zoom. We will send the Zoom ID and passcode near the date of the event.

Application Deadlines:

Seminar 2: Monday, April 18

Seminar 3: Monday, May 16

If possible, please register for both Seminars 2 and 3 at the same time.

Seminar Fees: ¥30,000 per trainee (no fee for those joining as “students”)

Trainees are entitled to send a video of one (1) activity (from those covered at the seminar) for feedback after the seminar. For trainees unable to practice, we are offering critique on a video of one (1) rank class. A ¥10,000 discount is available for trainees that attended a previous online seminar.
